Tips for Mental Clarity

Tips for Mental Clarity

By Wellness No Comments

The process of mental clarity is not as easy as it sounds. If you have ever tried meditating or doing anything close to meditating, you are familiar with what I am talking about. Mental clarity is always essential when you want to stay on a particular task and get it done. When you are in surroundings that have got several distractions, then you will find it hard to focus in such an environment. Even at a quiet moment, a distraction will always pop up from nowhere, especially during the time you want to focus. Most people are usually distracted from Facebook and other social media platforms very easily. If you are finding it hard to concentrate, then here are the best tips for mental clarity that you can consider.

•Eliminate the distraction.

Most of the distractions that we do encounter is something that we have seen coming. For instance, if there are people in your office who are prone to distracting, you have to eliminate that. Other intrusions of distraction include’ radio blaring in the background. Minimizing these sources of distractions is not always easy. Always deal with a specific distraction at a specific time.

•Focus on one thing at a time.

Multitasking might be a great way in which you can get your things done as quickly as possible. But it also comes with its consequences, and one of these is cutting down your productivity levels. To improve your point of focus and clarity, you must focus on one thing at a time.

•Always live in the moment.

You can’t have mental clarity when you are ruminating about the past or worrying about the future. That’s why it’s very important that you train yourself to stay in the present moment and focus. Living in the moment plays a critical role in ensuring that you don’t have psychological anxieties and any physical distractions.

Tips for Emotional Wellness

By Wellness No Comments

Emotional Wellness is an important health segment that can’t be avoided. When you are emotionally healthy you can control your thoughts, behavior, and feelings. When life challenges you and you are emotionally healthy you can easily cope with any situation. Well, most people confuse being emotionally healthy with being happy all the time. This is not the case; when you are emotionally healthy, then you are aware of your emotions. When you are emotionally healthy you can deal with both positive and negative situations. Here are some Tips for Emotional Wellness.

•Be aware of your thoughts and feelings.

Have you ever had negative emotions springing up from nowhere? Most people end up concluding that their emotions and mood come and go with no rhyme or reason. To be able to manage your emotions, you have to take time and understand what triggers these negative emotions.

•Always Stay Positive.

We all get in bad moods at times, and there is nothing abnormal about that. All you have to remember is that constantly maintaining this negative attitude will always eat away at your internal happiness. It’s important to start by constantly monitoring how you say negative things about yourself. You have to work on limiting these negative thoughts.

•Ask for Help.

A problem shared is half solved, its therefore important that you start working on your negative thoughts by seeking help. You need to have someone you can trust hard enough with whom you can share your problems and negative emotions.

•Keeping Boundaries.

What boundaries are you supposed to Keep? To understand this, you have to create boundaries with people who contribute to your mental well being. At times some people might cross the line, and you have to avoid them.

•Self Acceptance.

The first step of mental healing is accepting yourself the way you are. At times others might have high expectations, and you might always set high expectations on yourself only to end up not living up to your limits. The first step on this is self-acceptance. Self-acceptance breaks the tie of self-judgment and self-doubt.

Coronavirus is Spreading Fear

Coronavirus is Spreading Fear

By Wellness No Comments

During these very tough times, it is no wonder the Coronavirus is Spreading Fear. People are buying an over abundance of supplies and panic has set in for most of the country. We cannot sit around and just get depressed. Our personal wellness needs are at an all time high! Hopefully we can give you some peace of mind and ways to cope with our global situation. Strive has put together a survival guide on how to make it in the Coronavirus Pandemic.

  1. Stay Calm!

You will not make it under any circumstance if you are panicing. I know this is a scary time for us all but just remember to keep your cool. You are more likely to make better sound decisions with a clear head.

  2. Don’t Hoard Supplies!

We understand you need enough supplies to go into hibernation in the event that the world ends and a zombie apocalypse breaks out. Haha. No really tho. We get it. Getting enough for about 2 – 4 months is super understandable but storing enough for 3 years is a bit much. Not to mention you are taking away from other people who need supplies as well. When you hoard you keep someone else from having when they need.

  3. Get What You NEED!

Instead of buying 38 packs of toilet paper, buy things you need like non-perishible food items, water, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, alcohol, antibacterial cleansers, vitamins and probiotics that boost the immune system.

  4. People Have Cooties!

No seriously that’s how you need to be acting right now. Preventing the spread of Covid19 is crutial to humanity. Practice social distacing and when you need supplies, send one person. Don’t hang out with people right now until they say it’s safe.

  5. Sick?

Stay at home! Don’t get other people sick. Self-quaranteen and contact you doctor for further instructions. Everything is constantly changing so check your local news for updates. If all else fails go to the emergency room.

  6. Wear masks!

If you can order you a few masks online. If you can’t afford it watch this video on how to make your own. Wear anytime you have to go in public.

  7. Need Help?

If you need food, shelter, clothes, or anything of that nature you can call 211 from any phone and tell them what zip code you are in. They may also be able to tell you where you can get help with rent or utility bills. They will look up local resources for you that are currently available. Red Cross helps with disasters such as fires and more.

Now What?

Now that your all quaranteened to your home with 38 packs of toilet tissue (kidding) you can now practice some mental clarity and take some immunity boosters.

  1. Take your vitamins and probiotics daily. Do not forget. This aides in boosing your immune system.
  2. Stay hydrated. Drinking a lot of water and gatoraide can keep you from getting dehydrated. This is important.
  3. If you feel like you are getting sick, try cold medicine. If that doesn’t work consult with the doctor. Especially if you have a dry cough, fever, and shortness of breath.
  4. Excersize regularly. If you add excersize to your daily routine, you can help build physical. mental, and immunity health.
  5. Sanitize everything. Wash your hands regularly.
  6. Tell your friends and family members you aren’t allowing company.
  7. Meditate. Spend time in your quiet place and tune everything out. Take the time to relax and forget about your problems for 15 minutes. Gain clairity and calmness.

Ending Fear.

We hope our guide has helped you a little. We understand that the Coronavirus is Spreading Fear. Strive is also developing a system for companies to be able to work from home.
